Our Process Gets You the Best Vision

Great Comfort and Vision

At Precision Eye Care, we strive to meet all of your eye and vision care needs. Corrective lens evaluations and prescription management are provided by our optometrists. After a comprehensive eye and vision evaluation, our doctors will discuss the variety of contact lens options with you to select the type that best fits your vision needs and lifestyle. If you suffer from dry eye, allergies, or recurring eye infections, please notify our doctors.  These conditions can make it difficult to find a comfortable contact for you and will effect which lenses the doctors have you try.  Not sure if your child is ready for contacts?  Check out our blog post, “Is Your Child Ready for Contacts?”

Evaluation

Prior to prescribing contact lenses, Dr. Lisa Januskey, O.D. or Dr. Raymond Tran, O.D. will determine what level of vision correction you require. Our optometrists then evaluate your cornea to determine which contacts would be healthiest for your eyes.  Dr. Januskey and Dr. Tran look for signs of corneal warpage, oxygen deprivation, dryness, and allergies and factor these considerations into their lens selection. After determining the level of vision correction needed, assessing the health of your corneas, and reviewing your needs, they work with you to determine which contact lenses are best for your lifestyle. If you suffer from certain conditions, such as dry eye or allergies, daily disposable contacts may be the most comfortable corrective solution. Dr. Januskey and Dr. Tran will have you try on the contacts, and evaluate the resultant fit, stability, vision, and comfort. They will send you home with a set of temporary lenses so that you can evaluate them in your own environment to make sure they provide the clear, comfortable vision you deserve. After you confirm that you are happy with the lenses, our doctors will release your contact lens prescription to you so that you may order boxes of lenses. To schedule an appointment for a contact lens evaluation with our optometrists, call 979.985.5305 today.

Corrective Lenses

Contact lenses are available in either soft, hybrid, or rigid gas permeable form. Contact lenses need to be changed daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-annually, or yearly depending on what type of lens you select. Specialized contact lenses, such as bifocal contact lenses, post-refractive surgery lenses, keratoconic lenses, and post-surgical graft lenses are also available for patients with special eye conditions.  Please visit the Hard-to-Fit Contacts section for more details about these lenses.

Cosmetic Lenses

Advances in contact lens technology have created great options for cosmetic lenses to transform your eye color. These are available in daily or monthly disposables. There are now even Transitions contact lenses available that will darken when you go outside. Call us at 979.985.5305 and speak to our knowledgeable team if you are interested in modifying or changing your eye color with contact lenses.
